Overview of Orochi’s Lab Upgrade Feature
Orochi’s Lab lets Tenno breathe new life into jutsu and equipment earned from earlier Rumble seasons or time‑limited events. By spending the rare materials that drop in current content, you can apply permanent power boosts while keeping the item’s original rarity.
Accessing the Lab
- Open the main menu and select Orochi’s Lab.
- Browse the Eligible Items tab to view all jutsu, weapons, back items and outfits that can be upgraded.
- Choose an item and review the required materials displayed on the right‑hand panel.
- Confirm the upgrade; the enhancement is applied instantly.
The Lab is reachable on all platforms – iOS (App Store), Android (Play Store) and PC (Steam).
Eligible Content
- Jutsu from any completed Rumble season.
- Weapons, back items, and outfits obtained in expired events.
- Special gear that previously lacked enhancement options.
Only items that appear in the Eligible Items list can be upgraded; new seasonal rewards are automatically added when they become eligible.
Upgrade Paths and Limits
Each item follows a tiered upgrade path:
- Tier 1 – Power Boost: modest stat increase, consumes 1 × Rare Essence.
- Tier 2 – Elemental Sync: adds elemental affinity, consumes 2 × Rare Essence + 1 × Elemental Core.
- Tier 3 – Mastery Upgrade: significant stat boost, consumes 3 × Rare Essence + 2 × Mastery Shard.
An item can be upgraded up to three times; the maximum tier is shown in the Lab UI. Once the final tier is reached, no further upgrades are possible.
Sourcing Rare Materials
- Rare Essence drops from daily missions, weekly challenges, and the Daily Reward wheel.
- Elemental Cores are awarded in elemental‑focused events and can be crafted from common shards.
- Mastery Shards are earned by completing high‑rank Rumble matches and by ranking up in the Warframe Mastery system.
Stashing these materials in your inventory ensures you can upgrade as soon as new items become eligible.
