Tenno Party Guide: Friends, Recruits and Co-op Play

A Tenno party lets you team up with other players for co-op battles. Parties are cross-platform, so you can play with friends on Android, iOS and Steam.

Where to find party features

The main hub has three buttons for playing with others:

  • Party: has a Room ID field, a Join button and a Refresh button. If no rooms are open, the list is empty.
  • Friends: shows your total friends and has Recruit and Challenge actions.
  • Chat: the in-game chat, where you can meet other players.

PvE co-op also lives under Arena → PvE. There you can pick Easy, Hard or Extreme difficulty, create a room, join a room with its ID, or browse available rooms.

Cross-platform parties and invites

Parties work across platforms, and the same Tenno account works on every platform. Anyone can be invited. Friends can also invite their own friends into the party.

If you want to join a specific room, type its Room ID in the Party screen and press Join. Press Refresh to update the list of rooms.

Recruits and level range

Use Recruit on the Friends screen to bring a friend into your party. A friend can be recruited if they are within 10 levels of you. A party member also cannot join a battle that is above their own level.

Quick Match

Quick Match finds players for you. It searches automatically when you press Fight.

In PvE, the difficulty you pick applies to Quick Match and to rooms you create. When you join a room yourself, you play on that room's difficulty automatically.

Watching live matches

You can watch live matches through Party at the top right of the screen.

Rumble works differently. It is offline, and its opponents are AI-controlled copies, so there is no live match to watch.

Host rules

  • If the host leaves, control passes to the other players.
  • Only the host can skip cutscenes.
  • Reward confirmation is personal. Each player confirms their own rewards.

Disconnects and rejoining

If you lose connection, you do not lose your place right away.

  • The AI plays your character while you are away.
  • You have 3 minutes to rejoin before you are kicked automatically.
  • You have 60 minutes to rejoin and claim your rewards. Rewards are not claimed for you automatically.
  • Rejoining after a crash costs no stamina.
  • Leaving a battle has no penalty.

If multiplayer stops working after an update, check that your game is on the latest version. Multiplayer is switched off for old app versions when a new build ships.

Finding team-mates

Players find friends and team-mates in two places:

#general is English only and for Tenno topics. Separate channels exist for other languages, such as Espanol, Deutsch and Francais.

When you add friends, never share your password or account details. Your Tenno account is personal, so do not share, lend or sell it.

Quick tips

  • Add a few friends close to your level so you can recruit them easily.
  • Check the difficulty before you join a room.
  • Keep the game updated so you can join multiplayer.
  • Check your stamina before you start a long run of battles.
