Tenno: Ultimate Ninja RPG is a 2D anime ninja RPG with turn-based combat, made by Resurge Games. You can play it on Android, iOS and Steam, and the same account works on every platform. This guide explains the basics and points you to the right pages.
What is Tenno?
You build a ninja, pick elements, equip jutsu and gear, and fight in turn-based battles. You can play story missions, boss fights, party battles and seasonal Rumble matches.
- Platforms: Android (Google Play), iOS (App Store) and Steam. On Mac it runs on Apple Silicon only.
- Login: Sign in with Google, Apple, Facebook or a Resurge Games email account. Using the same email opens the same account.
- Your account is personal: Do not share, sell, lend or trade it.
What to do first
Start with the Travel missions to earn XP and gold. Use the Academy to learn your first skills. Then open Inventory and Jutsu to equip your gear and skills. After that, branch out into chests, the Tenno Pass, Hunting House and active events as they unlock.
The main hub gives you quick access to Travel, Academy, Arena, Party, Tenno Pass, Shop, Store, Inventory, Jutsu, Sets, Chests, News, Mail, Friends and Chat.

The five elements
There are five elemental villages: Fire, Water, Wind, Thunder and Earth. Each village has its own Academy, which you reach through Travel. Each village also has a Village Flag back item with a +5% bonus that matches its theme:

Learning and changing elements
- A character can learn up to 3 elements, free players included. To learn another, travel to a village and enter its Academy.
- Each jutsu has its own level requirement and price.
- Attribute points raise the damage of that element's jutsu.
- To change an element, reset the one you want to replace, then buy a jutsu of the new element in the Academy.
- Resetting removes that element and all of its jutsu, including equipped ones, and nothing is refunded. It costs 200 Tenno Coins, or 2,000 if you already reset an element this month. Anbu Club members pay half.

How combat works
Battles are turn-based. Here are the key rules:
- Turn order: The agility bar decides who acts first. If you lap your opponent, you get two turns.
- Hits: Accuracy against dodge decides whether a hit lands. Critical and super critical checks add extra damage.
- Area attacks: Each target is rolled separately for damage, dodge, crit and super crit.
- Buffs and debuffs: Buffs stack. The same debuff does not stack, and the newer one replaces the older one. Different debuffs can sit on a target together.
- Locks: A lock means stun, sleep or chaos.
- Spiritual Pressure: While it is applied, the enemy has a chance each turn to skip its turn.
- Wording: A "single round" in a skill description means one turn.
A good build looks at more than raw damage. Check CP cost, cooldown, accuracy, dodge, protection, purification, strengthen and weaken, elemental bonuses, and when passives trigger. You can see your core stats in Profile.

Game modes
Story missions and daily missions
Story missions currently end at level 60. Daily missions give you a reason to log in each day. After level 60, progress comes from Hunting House, the Tenno Pass, daily missions and Rumble while a season is running.
Hunting House
The Hunting House is Tenno's boss mode. Each completed battle gives 10 Tenno Pass XP, and it is one of the best ways to level up. Read the Hunting House Guide for boss tips.
Rumble
Rumble is the seasonal PvP mode. Open it from Arena, then Rumble.
- Matches are offline. Your opponents are AI-controlled copies of other players.
- Each battle costs 25 stamina. The maximum is 100, or 150 with Anbu Club. Stamina refills every hour, or you can refill it for 30 Tenno Coins.
- Seasons usually run about four weeks, with roughly a week's break between them. They end on a Saturday (UTC).
- Season rewards unlock in order on the Rewards screen. Claim them before the season ends.
- Ranked rewards need a top-100 finish.
Rumble Season 18 is running now, from 16 October 2026 to 14 November 2026. Its reward track includes gold coins, Tenno Coins, Demon's Finger materials, the Dragonskin back item, the Dragonmaul weapon, a Rumble S18 outfit and the skill Kinjutsu: Dragonknight Cannon.
Old Rumble items from Season 10 onward are sold in the Rumble Shop, at the bottom of the Rumble screen. Items cost essence (1 earned per Rumble win) plus Tenno Coins.
Tenno Pass
Each Tenno Pass season has a free track and a paid track. The paid track costs 3,999 Tenno Coins for the season. Rewards unlock as your Pass XP grows, and anything you do not claim before the season ends is gone.
Tenno Pass Season 10 is live, from 8 September 2026 to 12 December 2026. Its rewards include gold coins, Tenno Coins, chests, throwables and the Shiro Angel hair style.
Pass XP comes from Hunting House battles (10 XP each), Rumble and event battles (7 XP each) and other sources. A Pass level takes about 60 to 70 XP. You can also buy Pass levels for 100 Tenno Coins each. Anbu Club members get one free level per day.

Orochi's Lab
Orochi's Lab upgrades items you already own into advanced versions. It needs materials from the Tenno Pass, events and chests. A Rumble season's advanced versions become available in the Lab after that season ends.
Events
The Second Anniversary event is running until 31 December 2026. It has its own missions, an Earn reward track and an arcade.
Playing with friends
Parties work across platforms, and Quick Match searches automatically when you press Fight. You can find friends and team-mates in the Discord community or through the in-game chat.
Not in Tenno right now
Talents, pets, senjutsu or sage mode, bloodlines, clans or guilds, clan wars and summons are not part of Tenno right now. The team is working on new stuff, so stay tuned to the in-game News and Tenno's official socials.
Stay up to date
The latest patch notes are in the in-game News panel. For example, the v2.80.0 patch notes announced Tenno Pass Season 10 and new Rumble seasonal rewards.
