The skill chest is a chest of Kinjutsu skills. You earn it by logging in on 25 days within a month, and it can never be bought.
What is the skill chest?
The skill chest is one of the chests in the Chests screen. It holds skills, not gear. Every reward in it is a Kinjutsu. To learn more about these skills, see Jutsu and Kinjutsu in Tenno.

How to unlock the skill chest
The skill chest needs 25 login days within a month. It comes from the monthly login reward. The 25th login day of the month gives you 1 Skill Chest.
Here is the October monthly login track as an example:

Why you can't buy it
Skill chests can never be bought. They show how long you have been playing, so the only way to get one is to log in.
Other chests work differently. The Chests screen lists each chest type with your owned count and Open and Buy actions. Some chests can be bought and some cannot. Event chests, for example, can no longer be bought after their event ends.

How chest odds work
Each chest shows its reward odds in its detail screen. Only trust the odds you can see there.
- An item shown at 0% is one you already own.
- Its share is redistributed to the other items in the chest.
This means the odds can change as you collect more items from a chest.
Quick tips
- Log in every day so you reach 25 login days before the month ends.
- Check the Chests screen to see how many chests you own.
- Open the chest detail screen to read the current odds.
- Don't try to buy a skill chest. It is not for sale.
